Thank you to our patients for your support with the new way of working. We appreciate change is very unsettling and it will take time to adjust to the new system. It was introduced to improve patient clinical safety so that you receive the best possible care within the resources currently available to the practice. We are constantly auditing and reviewing the system and will make adjustments based on this analysis. We are committed to providing appropriate and safe care to you and the community by ensuring you are directed to the right person at the right time.
Calls from 8am to 11am are for those who may need advice on self care, an appointment with a Nurse Practitioner or advice from a Doctor on the same day
Calls from 11am are for those who need to book an appointment with a Health Care Assistant or Practice Nurse
Calls after 2pm are for those with queries about medication, test results or general enquiries
We encourage patients to register for on-line access which allows you to request repeat prescriptions, book routine appointments with your usual doctor, see parts of your medical record and view your test results - please bring some photo ID to reception who will be able to arrange registration for you.
Be assured that we are looking at the number of phone lines and medical reception staff that we need on board at various times throughout the day over the next few weeks and we will adjust according to need. By keeping to the times above we will get a more accurate assessment of this.
