Medication changes for Pregabalin and Gabapentin from NHS England
From 1 April 2019, gabapentin and pregabalin will be reclassified as Schedule 3 controlled drugs under the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001, and Class C of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. The Department of Health and Social Care has issued strong recommendations that the maximum quantity of Schedule 3 drugs prescribed should not exceed 30 days (by local agreement 28 days is the maximum)
